Less is More.
Less really is more. I have come to learn this throughout the years and still am. Always favour quality over quantity. If something has been hanging around in your room or bag for more than a year, then re-question it. Clothes that no longer fit you, phone apps you never really use, old college copybooks you kept just in case… It could by anything really.
Indeed, we often tell ourselves: “Who knows, I might use or need those one day.”
But one day often turns to months, sometimes years, and we end up never really needing nor using them. It is understandable though, we, humans, are social beings, scared to let go of the past, and so we hold on to materialistic things and objects, and associate them to moments and memories. However, what we often forget, is that our brain is the most powerful memory machine and often, it alone, can be the best, and most sufficient source of memory. So, reorganize and declutter your space and stuff. Throw out, donate, recycle… You choose. But trust me, once you do, you will feel both better and calmer. Those unconscious small burdens actually have a big impact on your daily life, you are just not fully aware of them. It is all about the small actions that actually make a big difference. Some call it Minimalism, some call it Simple living.
